The TryFun PROTEAN-2 is an automatic male masturbator with a simple idea behind it: the toy does the work and you do the feeling. Suction and vibration run together, with four vibration modes, three suction levels and a single button for the finish.
Inside, the liner is TPE, pliable rather than rigid, and it is filled with granules and layered spiral folds. Those two details are what create the friction, and they are also why the toy can double as a trainer: the extra resistance is the point rather than an accident.
The suction is what makes it hands-free. Once you are in, the automatic mode holds and works the shaft on its own, so a session does not depend on keeping a rhythm with your hand.
It runs at around 50dB, quiet enough to use without thinking about who is in the next room, and the battery gives about an hour from a charge of one to two hours over USB.
The inner container is 5.5 inches and extends to 7.8 inches, inside a body 9.44 inches tall with a 3.2 inch top and a 2.6 inch base, and the outer shell is wrapped in a non-slip material to keep it steady in the hand.
One thing worth knowing before you buy: the body itself is not waterproof, but the sleeve lifts out and can be rinsed under the tap, which is how it is meant to be cleaned.
